Gestern habe ich die zweite Auflage des Buchs Don't make me think (Biblionetz:b00718) von Steve Krug gelesen. Nichts aufregend neues, aber immer noch empfehlenswerte Lektüre für Neueinsteiger, die einen Webauftritt planen oder umsetzen müssen.

In der Ausgabe 18 der Zeitschrift c't werden auf den Seiten 198/199 verschiedene Schutzmassnahmen gegen Diebstahl von Projektoren in frei zugänglichen Räumlichkeiten vorgestellt:

• Befestigungsmöglichkeit für Kensington-Schlösser sowie stärkere physische Befestigungsmöglichkeiten
• Schutzkäfig für Deckenmontage
• Passwortgeschützte Projektoren, die nach Stromunterbruch ein Passwort verlangen
• Tastenlose Projektoren, die ohne (leicht wegschliessbare) Fernbedienung unbrauchbar sind
• Grellorange Projektoren, die nur an Schulen verkauft werden und somit leicht als Diebesgut erkennbar sind.
• Bewegungsmelder
• Stromunterbruchs- bzw. Steckerausziehmelder

As expected DPM is not the first try to visualize didactic processes. In the book chapter LEO: A Concept Map Based Course Visualization Tool for Instructors and Students ) (Biblionetz:t04914) John W. Coffey presents an extension of the concept mapping software cmap (Biblionetz:w01642) as a tool for planning and delivering education courses. He argues that the resulting concept maps can be used as advance organizers (Biblionetz:w01732) by students.

Our Workshop @ WikiSym 2006 on Using Wikis in education is over and it was very interesting (at least for us...)!

We presented a draft of our Didactic Process Map Language and got lot of useful feedback. It was interesting that most of the recommendations about improving DPM included the use of computer interfaces: "You should be able to click on a phase and see the details." It wasn't the intention of us to create a language for designing scenarios in front of a computer screen. We want to create a tool for face-to-face discussions in workshops where a group of people stands in front of big sheet of paper and can point to specific details of the scenario:
